Anja Silja, opera singer, with Wieland Wagner, Berlin
Dec. 12, 1961 - For the first time on the stage of her native opera': 21-year-old singer Anja Silja of Berlin will sing on Dec.27th, 1961 at the German Opera (Deutsche Oper) of West-Berlin under the direction of Wieland Wagner the role of Elsa in the opera Lohengrin by Richard Wagner. Since Anja Silja in 1960 sang the part of Senta in the Flying Dutchman in Bayreuth, she is a much-wanted singer at all famous operas of the world. She will probably soon sing at La Scala Milan.
