Apr. 05 These twins have two mothers: why, that's a familiar figure crawling on the floor with her two little ones. Of course, it is. It's Valerie Barlow and the Barlow twins who millions of viewers meet twice a week on their TV sets when they tune in to the latest events on Coronation Street. There was great excitement in the street when Valerie presented her schoolmaster husband with twins. Valerie (played by actress Ann Reid) has become such a devoted mum that she spends many a Sunday with what she likes to think of as her adopted twins. She adores romping with them and doing all the chores a real mum does and she isn't doing it just to give a true-to-life performance as the twins mother but because she really loves children -and particularly the twins.
