Sep. 05, 1967 - Anna Palk Demonstrates 18th Century Flower Power: Two hundred years before the Hippies went to San Francisco with flowers in their hair, English ladies knew all about coiffure flower power. Hairdos with flowers were all the 18th. century rage. Actress Anna Palk, who is playing Lady Teazle in The School for Scandal at Derby Playhouse, has a Restoration hair uplift, with flowers at Ann Bruton, in Mayfair, before returning to Derby. The creator is Monsieur Christophe of the famous Parisian house of Elrhodes, who have just opened their fifst London Salon at Ann Bruton'. The entire proceedings are littered with 18th. century house in Bruton Street, formerly owned by the Earl of Longford and London residence of Canning, 18th. century Prime Minister. And next week, Anna Palk, with her 18th. century hairdo in her 18th. century play, goes to the Richmond (Yorkshire) Drama Festival, which is held in a magnificently restored 18th century theatre.
