Mar. 22 The French President Valery Giscard D'Estaing And His Wife Visit West-Germany: On the afternoon of Monday 7th the guest Valery Giscard d'Estaing met after the dinner with Federal President Karl Carstens, the Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt for a two hours political talk. After it the French President, accompanied by general-inspector of the Bundeswehr general Brandt, laid a wreath at the memorial on the North-cemetery of Bonn/West-Germany. In the evening Federal President Karl Carstens and his wife Veronica Carstens gave a gala-dinner in the hunting seat Falkenlust in Bruhl near Bonn. 800 guests were invited at the reception which followed in Augustusburg Castle. The reception which followed in Augustusburg Castle. The reception was finished with fireworks accompanied by the fireworks-music of Handel.
