Dec. 12, 1960 - Anti-government demonstrations in Athens. General view during riots. There were serious anti-government demonstrations in the streets of Athens recently when 3, 000 workers congregated and attacked the police who tried to disperse them. The crowd grew to 10, 000 strong and battled with police reinforcements who used armoured cars and tear gas. Among the injured of over 100 were two police - seriously hurt. Many private cars were overturned and set on fire before order was restored. Photo shows general view during the riots in the streets of Athens. More than 100 people, including two policemen, were injured
