Anti-nuclear demonstration, US depot ship at Holy Loch

Mar. 03, 1961 - Demonstrations As US Submarine Depot Ship Arrives at The Holy Loch. There were anti Nuclear Demonstrations this morning when the United States Submarine depot ship Proteus Docked in the Holy Loch, Firth of Clyde. The Demonstrators used Kayaks with which they tried to delay mooring of the Vessel - but one by one they were overturned and swamped by the wash of the flotilla of police and Royal Navy launches - and had to be fished out of the water.
