Anti-nuclear demonstrators arrested in West End of London

Sep. 09, 1961 - Anti-Bomb Marchers hold demonstration in London: Police arrested 120 anti-bomb demonstrators in the West End of London last night after halting a protest march on the American Embassy.. The marchers are supporters of athe Committee of 100, the group headed by Bertrand Russell which is organising a passive civil disobedience campaign in support of nuclear disarmament. They will appear at Marlborough Street this morning. Picture Shows: Police removing some of the demonstrators in the West End of London last night. 120 will appear in court today
