Anti-nuclear demonstrators kneel, Trafalgar Square, London

Nov. 11, 1961 - Kneel Down Ban-the-bomb-protest: A new form of Ban-the-Bomb protest went on in Trafalgar Square yesterday. The demonstrators knelt in a silent vigil of protest. The demonstration was led by the Rev. Denis Shaw, an Anglican Curate at Bethnal Green, London - attended by 200 followers. They displayed a banner reading In the name of Christ, Ban the Bomb'. Later 30 of the demonstrators held a silent 19 hour vigil on the steps of St. Martin- in-the-Fields. Photo shows the Anti-Bomb demonstrators kneeling in Trafalgar Square yesterday
