Anti-Polaris protester pulled from water, Holy Loch, Scotlan

May 05, 1961 - Anti Polaris Canoe Commandos - Swamped from Ship's Side. The United States Navy went into action yesterday with fire hoses - water from six jets aboard the Polaris missile ship Proteus beat off a Commando raid by anti-nuclear demonstrators in canoes. Demonstrators tried to climb up the anchor chain and hawsers.
