Aug. 24, 1968 - First anti-Soviet demonstration in Tanzania: More than 2000 students and youths participated in a massive demonstration against the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in front of the Soviet Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The demonstrators throwing stones, eggs and Russian literature were however all the time controlled by the Police from getting into wild violence
