Feb. 02, 1953 - New Weapons for the British Army. The Enerca Anti-tank grenade fired from Rifle: It was announced today by the War Minister Anthony Head in a statement about the Army Estimates that the British Infantryman is being provided with a complete family of new weapons. The smallest of these new weapons is the anti-tank grenade, weighing only 21 ounces with a destructive capacity equal to the most powerful infantry anti tank guns used in the last war. It was demonstrated at the Small Arms School, Hythe which is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its formation. Photo shows Sgt. Instructor T.A.
