1931 - What the have we here Oversize surrealistic painting from wall cracks: When Surrealist Ithell Colquhoun was waiting for the removal men in her Hampstead home last year - she noticed some Fascinating cracks on one of the walls she traced these cracks and they now form the basis of her painting which measures 4ft. 6 ins by 5ft. 6 ins. This picture is now on show at the Festival Exhibition by the Women's International Art Club, at the Suffolk Galleries. The picture is entitles Seven Giantesses Undressing to Bath. Photo shows Annie Harrison the cleaner at the Suffolk Galleries pauses in her cleaning to study the strange addition to the exhibition today
