Jul. 07, 1950 - Festival of Britain Buses prepare for 4, 000 mile tour of Europe. Four London buses, typical double dockers were to be seen on the Horse Guards Parade this morning preparing for the start of their 4, 000 mile tour of Europe - to publicise the forthcoming festival of Britain. The buses will go by Cargo boa to Oslo, then to Stockholm and on to Hamburg, Amsterdam, The Hague, Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, Brussels, Liege, Luxembourg, strasbourg, Dijon Lyons, Marselles, Tlouse, Bordeaux, Poiters, Tours, Orleans, Paris, Rouen, Lille, Dunkir and back to Piccadilly circus. Photo shows visitors seen as they look over the top deck of one of the buses which has been arranged as a display showing the British scenes in pictures
