Apr. 18 This year's New Exhibits At The American Museum: America's first Museum of decorative art to be set up in this Country, or anywhere else outside the United States is starring its second season at Claverton manor near Bath. Its purpose is to correct the some what disported image of American culture held by Europeans. Beside demonstrating with example of early American art that, although a comparatively young country, America is by no mean devoid of a cultural background lived in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Among trhe new exhibits on show this year are a room given over the New Mexican Religious Art, a series of miniature American rooms, and some new additions to the already collection of Folk Art. An Apothecary's Shop - one of series of miniature American rooms made by an American businessman. Mr. J.H. Hoffheimer, in his spare time. They re being shown for the first time in England at the American Museum
