Nov. 11, 1953 - Much noice about the newalter that Passau: Among the spiritual circles of Passau a Vehement struggle arose about the Stephanus altar of the sulptor Joseph. Henselmann, the president of the Munich academie of arts. For seven years Prof. Henselmann worked at the altar. On August 12th the work had been first shown to the public. In the meantime Vehement critics about the expenses and the artificial quality had been heard. The costs for the altar are 450, 000 DM.
