Jul. 02, 1954 - Huge Mural Unveiled at Cecil Sharp House Measures 69 ft. by 20 ft.: The unveiling took place yesterday (Thursday) of the huge Mural by Ivon Hitchens on the wall of Cecil Sharp House the Home of the English Folk Dance and Song Society. The painting covers an area 69 ft by 20 ft. The fee for the painting was $ 2, 500 which was later reduced by the artist himself by $ 850 towards the remaining cost. The painting was prepared in eleven sections at the home of Ivon Hitchens in Sussex. Photo shows two workmen check the hanging of a section of the Mural before the official unveiling ceremony
