Mar. 27, 1958 - Epstein's Genesis Sold For4, 200. To Be Exhibited At Blackpool: The White marble statue of a nude - pregnant woman - known as Gensis - was sold by auction at Sotheby's yesterday for4, 800 to Mr. William Cartmell General manager of a Blackpoo waxworks. It was produced by Sir Jacob Epstein in 1931 - and created much criticism. It belonged yo Sir Alfred Bossom 76 year old Tory M.P. who paid2, 000 for her.
