Oct. 10, 1957 - Hunting Tapestries previously owned by the Dukes of Devonshire on show.: two of the set of four Hunting Tapestries previously owned by the Dukes of Devonshire, are being shown for a month from today in the new Acquisitions Court of the Victoria and Albert Museum. The tapestry which has recently been cleaned and restored (the Roe Deer Hunt) is being shown together with one of the three pieces not yet cleaned (Falconry). It is vary rare to have a set of four tapestries surviving from the middle ages, and these are generally attributed to the second quarter of the fifteenth century and are though to have been completed not later than 1445 to 1450.: Photo shows View of one of the two hunting tapestries - the Roe Deer Hunt
