Apr. 29, 1958 - Three Year Old Artist Sells Painting For Five Guineas. He Waits To Be Another Picasso': Three year old Romany de Villiers - who is an artist in his own right - and the son of Pierre de Villiers - also an artist - created a sensation yesterday at the Open Air Art Exhibition when he sold a painting which he calls Skiffle Three to Skiffle band leader Chas. McDevitt. The Painting is in the form of a mass of colourful blobs and squiggles. Romany says he wants to be another Picasso'.
