May 05, 1958 - Painting once sold for £ 17. Fetches 36, 000 Guiteas. Believed to be an original El Greco'. A sensation was created this morning at Christies when Lot 14 was sold for 36, 000 guineas. The painting is described as Christ Healing the Blind by P Veronese - and it was ed at Christies in 1888 for 17 Guineas. Experts are convinced that the paintings is an early El Greco. Photo shows General view at the male today as Sir Alec Mart accpets the bid of 36, 000 guineas from Mr. Geoffrey Agnew a Bond street art dealer
