Mar. 03, 1958 - Epstein's Genesis sold for £4, 200. To be exhibited at Blackpool: The white marble statue of a nude pregnant woman known as Genesis was sold by auction by Sotheby's yesterday for £4, 200 to Mr. William Cartmell general manager of a Blackpool waxworks. It was prouced by Sir Jacob Epstein n 1931 and belonged to Sir Alfred Bossom the 76 year old Tory M.O. who paid £2, 000 for her.
