Jan. 01, 1958 - The Unknown Political Prisoner The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London has promulgated a competition for a design of a monument commemorating The Unknown Political Prisoner. 65 countries will take part in this competition. Even Soviet Russia and the iron curtain countries were asked to participate in this competition. But very probably the artists from East European countries will not do so. The German and Swiss Prize court had its first session at the Haus am Waldsee in Berlin. Among 262 works, the experts selected one masterpiece and declared it to be worth the Prize of the Federal Republic'.
