Aug. 08, 1959 - First Comprehensive Barlach- exhibition in Munich: Today, in the Municipal Gallery Munich an exhibition of works of Barlach will be opened, in connection with the Protestant Church which will be held in Munich. The work of this great artist from Northern Germany had so far not been on show in Munich. Barclah's work, rising from his Protestant attitude, belongs to the greatest works of contemporary religious art.
