Feb. 29 Chinese Boy Receives Painting Prize. Ten year old Lee Man Sung, a Chinese boy who was born deaf, won the first prize in his age group in an International Painting Competition of Deaf Children. More than 1, 000 children from all over the world sent in entries. Lee Man Sung, who flew the 7, 600 miles from Hong Kong, received the prize at the Royal Society of Arts today. The return fare for the boy and his teacher, were paid for by a London Restaurant proprietor, Robert John Koon.
