Apr. 16 West Berlin painters made designs for the wall painting of the house at checkpoint Charlie in West-Berlin: Three well known West Berlin painters Gisela Breitling, Johannes Grutzke and Wolff Vostell have made designs for the wall paintings of the house at Checkpoint Charlie on request of the Working group August 13th'. The house is where part of world's history shows, the four victor nations are represented three as well as both German states. Giseal Breitlin's angel of the victory column (r) shows herself having been thrown at with swastikas, hammer and sickel, compasses, coca cola bottles and an old German sword, the points of which having pierced a map of Europe. Forwards or backwards? is the title of the painting by Johannes Grutzke (attached picture), which shows Europe sitting on a bull, which balances on the Berlin Wall Further internationally known painters have been asked for their designs. All of them will be discussed in public then, before the city's senate will be asked for support
