Antiques - Art - Ceramics - Murals - Paint

Apr. 18 The Child artist and Picasso. In London : Two years ago, toddling three -year old Romany De Villiers sold his first painting at the London Embankment Art Exhibition for five guineas and received world wide publicity. He was called the second pcasso. And now a more experienced five year old is all het-up about the Picasso Exhibition at London's Tate Gallery and he just had to visit the place and pick up some ideas on Cubiam and the Blue period. He was in his dream world at the Tate. So much was he impressed with the great painter's works that he barely had time to look around before rushing home in an excited and inspired mood. For Romany, son of Hampstead artist, Pierre, was ready for action and he at once started to prepare his own Picasso like paintings for his own exhibition. His father says Romany started painting just as soon as he could hold a brush and when he made his first sale two years ago he beat his father to the punch - for he hadn't sold a painting for eight years. Photo shows Romany (left0 stands and ponders before a Picasso Painting at the Tate Gallery - and right trying his hand at some Cubism after seeing the Picasso exhibition
