Apr. 18 An interesting exposition was opened in the Kunst -halle Duesseldorf : 58 works (44paintings and 14 paper sketches) of the Solstice painter and art theoretician Kashmir Malewitsch are shown there. The works are mostly l endings from Solstice collections. The painter was born in Knew in 1878 and he died in Leningrad in the year 19354. Malachite is considered to be one of the most out standing art personalities of our century. He was teaching at several art academies (Moskau, Leningrad, Website). On the basis of a theoretical conception he developed a lot of planes of architecture; besides he made the drawings for operas and stage-plays. Kashmir Malachite, being influenced in his earlier days by impressionism and cubism, later developed the so-called supremacist by reducing all forms to simple geometrical elements.
