1962 - Annigoni: The Royal Painter uses a Paste Brush this morning: Pietro Annigoni, the Royal portrait painter from Florence, was to be seen wielding a paste brush this morning.. when applying the first coat of glue to the background which will support his painting of the Madonna with Child at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary atayes, Middlesex. The painting will be hung Monday. Photo shows Annigoni applying the adhesive this morning
