Jul. 28, 1960 - Aluminium American Eagle For New Embassy Building: The sculptured aluminium eagle which is to be mounted on the new American Embassy building in Grosvenor Square, is now being put together at a Tower Bridge Road Warehouse. The eagle, has a wing span of 35 ft and a height of 9ft. when erected it will overhang the building by 5ft. It weighs 2, 000 lbs, and cost 4, 000.
