Mar. 13, 1961 - Augustus John supervises arrangement of his exhibition pictures: An exhibition of paintings the works of Augustus John the Grand Old Man of British Painting is being held at the Tooth Gallery in Bruton Street. Augustus John himself paid a visit to the Gallery this afternoon to supervise the arrangement of his paintings the private view of which is to be held tomorrow. Many of the exhibits are of almost forgotten paintings done many years ago and some are even unfinished. Photo shows Augustus John with a self portrait during his visit to the Gallery this afternoon.
