Nov. 29, 1963 - The Typewriter Artist: 48-year-old Josef Abel, a clerk from Unterliederbach near Frankfurt in Germany, has been achieving fantastic results as an artist, but he does use brushes or a pencil, all his portraits are done by using just the letter m on his typewrites. He works from a photograph of his subjects. Photo shows On the right is his portrait of Pope Paul VI, when he sent a copy to the Pope, the Pope sent him a hand signed colour photograph which Josef is holding centre. In the typewriter is a picture of the late President Kennedy which was completed a few days ago. On the table can be seen pictures of Willy Brandt, Mayor of West Berlin, Marilyn Monroe and Jacqueline Kennedy
