May 05, 1963 - Artist with a head for heights.: 51 year old Canadian artist Scott Ackerman Medd, who is art director of the British School in Rome. is painting a mural 80ft above the entrance hall to Castle Howard, one of Yorkshire's stately homes. He is protected by a safety net specially constructed by a shop rig-gin company. The mural is from Italian masterix Antonio Pellegrini's The all of Phaeton, and replaces the original mural which was destroyed by fore 23 years ago. Photo shows Mr. Medd at work on his mural
