Nov. 23, 1960 - Rolling pin painter Keith - is a big hit wins 0 prize in Leeds art show: School boy Keith Wilson borrowed an old bed sheet from his mother dipped a rolling pin in black paint and smeared it across the canvas'. He said Suddenly a face emerged I painted it in and that was that'. The result was exhibited with more than 200 paintings by Leeds children and Ukrainian born artist Jacob Kramer who made his home in Yorkshire 60 years ago Judged the entries and much to 16 year old Keith's surprise his painting was awarded first prize &10.
