Mar. 03, 1965 - Rembrandt Painting Titus - Expected To Set Up New Sale Price Record: To be included in the sale ofChristies on Friday is the Rembrandt painting entitled Portrait of the Artist's Son, Titus - and it is expected to realise the highest price ever paid for a painting at auction in this country - in excess of half a million pounds - and may even be as high as600, 000. The painting was painted about 1650. Christies are hoping that Friday's sale will also set u a new record for a one-day sale - the previous record being1, 043, 590 set up by Sotheby's.
