Jun. 28, 1968 - Van Gogh's Portrait fo his mother is sold for ?110, 000 at christie's sale today. Van Gogh's portrait of his mother, painter in 1888m the porperty of the Rev. Theodore Pitcairn of Pennsylvania, was sold today at Christie's auction for ?110, 000. The portrait was bought by Stephen Hahn, a dealer from Chicago, Thsi is the second important Van Gogh Portrait Mr. Pitcairn has put up for auctionin the last two years. In 1966 he sold the portrait of Mlle Ravoux for ?157, 500. Photo shows The Van Gogh portrait of the mother which was sold today for ?110, 000 is taken down after being bought by Mr. Stephen Hahn, a buyer from Chicago
