Jan. 07, 1970 - XVIII Century painting stolen from Paris Church: A painting by Carle Van Loo entitled Saint Charles Boromee in Prayer, dating back to 1753, was stolen from the Paris church of Saint Merri. Police investigation has so far remained fruitless. Photo shows The empty frame of the stolen painting (left) - and the painting pictured before it was stolen (right)
