Jan. 01, 1972 - British Sculptors 72 Exhibition At The Royal Academy British Sculptors 72 which is due to open at the Royal Academy represents a major break with the long established traditions of the Large Winter Exhibitions. In the hundred years since the Royal Academy came to Burlington House and these famous shows began, they have almost invariably been works of art loaned for the occasion. Now, for the first time, the exhibition will be devoted entirely to one important aspect of contemporary art - the work of 24 living British sculptors. Photo Shows:- Seen at today's preview of the exhibition was this work called Breakdown by Garth Evans
