Jul. 07, 1972 - Millais Painting Sold For 30, 000 GNS. A Pre-Raphaelite painting by Sir John Everett Millais, untitled The Huguenot, was sold at Christie's for 30, 000 guineas. The picture was painted in 1852, and was sent for sale by the American millionaire collector, Mr. Huntington Hartford. It was bought by Agnew, the London dealers.
