Antiques - Art - Ceramics - Murals - Paint

Feb. 02, 1974 - Plastic art in Rome: As his latest creation, the Bulgarian artist, Javacheff Christo, seen here at work, has wrapped a section of the famous Aurelian wall near the Via Veneto in Rome, with plastic sheet. Christo recieved permission to wrap the Aurelian wall from the Rome City Council who is now sponsoring an art festival (through March). Christo says he wants to also wrap the Coliseum and St. Peters in Rome it's doubtful that he would recieve permission for such and endeavor despite the fact that the Rome City Council thinks of him as a world-renowned artist. Besides, he could probably never find enough plastic wrap
