Dec. 12, 1974 - School's Out! - National Gallery Event for Children. Today is opening day for School's Out ! - the National Gallery's first event for children (from about 8 to 14 years), planned to run ever the school holiday period. Young pupils can meet old masters face to face, and will be encourage to track down some famous pictures in the gallery. children can enter any or all of four competitions, which will be judged according to different age groups. There will be prizes for answering a quiz, for essay writing and drawing. Keystone Photo Shows: This youngster, from the Edith Neville Primary School, Summerstown, Camden, broke away from the main party to study for himself the painting of St. Bernardine of Siena, by Morette (1498-1955) at the National gallery today
