Aug. 08, 1976 - The master Picture Faker Tom Keating Tells His story: Tom Keating, the master picture faker, is to publish his story as a Hutchinson book early next year. The Book is to be Written in Conjunction with Frank and Geraldine Norman. It was Geraldine Norman, sale room correspondent of the times newspaper, who first suggested that 13 Samuel Palmer imitations might be from Tom Keating's hand. Keating has imitated well over the hundred different artists in his time including Dutch 17th century marine an land scape painters-- Rombrandt, Goya, Gainsborough, Constable, Palmer, Degas, Renoir, Munch, Turner, Reynolds etc. The Number of these paintings from his own hand now in Circulation and finally reveal all. He has an Amazing story to tell because he has been painting imitations since 1950. Today Tom Keating gave a Press Conference at the offices of Hutchinson's, the London book Publishers.
