Dec. 12, 1973 - 3rd Word Exhibition of Photography in Munich: This way to paradise is the exhibition entitled which is currently shown in Munich's Stadtmuseum from Dec. 6th until January 27th, 1974. Then it will wander to another city. To the World Exhibition which consists of 434 excellent pictures in black/white as well as in colour, 170 photographers from 86 different countries contributed their works. Inspite of the exhibition's optimistic and even inspiring name there are also themes represented which contrast greatly and quite often dramatically to it. For example the one pictured here which was taken by Hamburg photographer Michael Ruetz. It shows Peruvian mother and child having been injured by the catastrophic earth quake which hit Peru in 1970, shortly before being transported to the hospital
