Feb. 02, 1980 - Oskar Kokoscha dead : On February 22nd, 1980 famous painter Oskar Kokoschka (our picture) died in Villeneuve at Lake Geneva/Switzerland. He has been 93 years old. Kokoscha was born in Austria, has been a student in Vienna, became an academy professor in Dresden in 1920. Since 1925 he produced his paintings when travelling though Europe and the North of Africa for a lot of years.In 1934 he came to Prague/Czechoslovakia and between 1983 - 1952 he was living in London/Great Britain and belongs to the leading painters f the expressionism group. sine 1953 Oska Kokoscha was residing in Switzerland
