Jun. 24, 1959 - Little storks - saved from starving: Our picture tells of a human's love for animals. Mr. Schwen (SCHWEN) is feeding two little stroks in his zoo in Langerhans (Germany). The City birds have been saved from Starving, . because this man exists. what happened was this: Near Hamburg there are still many stray stroks, who build their nests on the roof-tops. The parents of these two baby - storks and brother, died - probably through eating poisoned food. Only these two stayed alive. The inhabitants of the village told Mr. Schwen about this tragedy and Mr. Schwen, who has his own zoo for storks, gave them a new home
