Apollo 11 - Man's First Moon Walk
Aug. 08, 1969 - Spectacular Moon View. An oblique view of the lunar far-side photographed form the Apollo 11 spacecraft in lunar orbit, looking south-west. The large crater in the center of the picture is International Astronomical Union crater 308, which is located at 179 degrees east longitude and 5.5 degrees south latitude. I.A.U. crater 308 has a diameter of about 50 status miles. This is a typical scene showing the rugged terrain on the far-side of the Moon
