Aug. 08, 1973 - Why Arab Guerrilla leader did not take the flight to Bagdad.: According to reliable sources, Dr. George Habash the Arab guerrilla leader, did not take a Middle East Airlines flight to Bagdad because of the East Airlines flight to Bagdad because of the nationality of the pilot. Security people of Dr. Habashs's Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, checked the aircraft, as they always do, before their leader is allowed to board, and found out that the captain of the flight was a Jordanian.
