Aug. 08, 1952 - London blitz model. A permanent reminder of wartime raids in a from which will evoke the memories of thousands of people is a scale model of a typical street scene after incendiary and high explosive bombs had fallen. The model, complete in every detail has been built at the imperial was museum, Lambert. It shows the scene at a junction of two streets where bombs have fallen. in the background the beams of searchlights can be seen lighting up the roof skyline. Figures showing police, different kinds of civil defense workers, ambulance men, W.V.S. volunteers and firemen are in the model, as well as vehicles which include pumps. lorries and fire engines. photo shows Mr. W.Y.
