Oct. 10, 1956 - London May Have Push-Button Parking: Britain's first rotor garage may be erected on a site near Southwark Bridge is plans now before the L.C.C. are approved. The Rotapark as it is called, is an America idea, but the garage would be built here. This is how it works. Care are driven into a lift and the garage turns round to bring a vacant space opposite as each car reaches the selected floor. When the driver collects the car, all he has to do is to put a punched card into a slot and the electronic brain reverses the process and brings the car back again.
