Nearing completion in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is the first of five British Bristol Britannia airliners ordered by America's Northeast Airlines. Nicknamed the whispering Giant, the plane is powered by four proteus turbo prop engines, has a cruising speed of 400 m.p.h and can carry 110 passengers. Britannias are already flying with British overseas Airways on the London Johannesburg and London Australia routes.
