Jan. 25, 1956 - Opening Of New Cargo And Passenger Building At Southampton Docks: Mr. G.P. Jooste the South African High Commissioner in London- accompanied by Sir Brian Robertson the Chairman of the British Transport Commission performed the ceremony of opening the new Passenger and Cargo Building at Southampton Dooks. The new building will be primarily for the South African trade carried out by the Union Castle Line.
